Network Overview

We are a Catholic lay group devoted to the Holy Trinity. Our vision is a mission, and our mission is to unite all the Catholics in the world through an online network that serves the new evangelization and offers the public real information about the Catholic Church and the truths of the Catholic faith.

Description

OneCatholic began in November, 2010. OneCatholic.net was the first of the seven associated websites to be activated. OneCatholic.net provides a network of Catholic media resources, including:

OneCatholicMedia: A website designed specifically for Catholic multimedia resources. These resources are audio, visual, and written.

The audio and visual media are mainly found under the Gallery page, which includes:

- TV: Live television streaming from different catholic TV stations: CTV (Centro Televisivo Vaticano), Catholic TV, EWTN TV (Eternal Word Television Network), FNC TV (FUNDAÇÃO NAZARÉ DE COMUNICAÇÃO), Salt and Light TV, Telecare TV, and CCTN TV (Catholic Community Television Network).

- Videos: Short recorded videos that are related to the different rites in the Catholic Church, like the Latin, the Maronite, and the Chaldean rites, and miscellaneous videos that are not directly related to any particular catholic rite, but rather related to the faith in general.

- Music: Recorded Catholic sound tracks and playlists, like music, songs, hymns, and chants from different Catholic rites: Latin, Maronite, Byzantine, Chaldean, and Syriac. Miscellaneous music is also found there.

- Photos: Photos depicting the Catholic faith in its different rites. Presently, photos of only three rites are available: the Latin, Maronite, and Chaldean rites.

- Radio: Live radio streaming from different Catholic radio stations, like Latin rite radio stations EWTN Radio (Eternal Word Television Network) and Radio Maria, as well as the Maronite radio station Voice of Charity.

- Video On Demand: Recorded videos, like documentaries and TV shows, that promote the Catholic faith and the Church. These videos are found in a video library and are available on demand.

A News page that includes three sub-pages:

- All in OneCatholicNews: A daily updated multi-catholic news agencies digital newspaper.

- Catholic Newsbreak: A weekly five minutes newsbreak from Catholic TV.

- Catholic News Blogs: A collection of several different catholic news blogs: All in OneCatholicNews, Catholics Come Home, Catholic News Agency, Catholic News Service, Catholic Online, L'osservatore Romano, and Where God Weeps.

A Liturgical Calendar page for the Latin and the Maronite rite liturgies.

OneCatholicDocs: A docublog that contains informative articles and links to documents about the Catholic faith, such as the History of the Catholic Church, the Catholic Rites, Ecclesiology, and Liturgy.

OneCatholic4ALL: A catholic social community network for people to gather and share their faith and spiritual experiences. To become a member of OneCatholic4ALL, one needs to register. Registration is done by simply signing up with a username and a password.

All in OneCatholicNews: A digital newspaper that daily updates fresh news on various Catholic events happening in the world. It's called All in OneCatholicNews because it automatically fetches the news articles from several Catholic news agencies chosen by OneCatholic and publishes them in one newspaper.

OneCatholicQuestions: A Q&A blog where people can post any question regarding the Catholic faith and our experts in Catholic doctrine post answers.

WordsOnHeaven and EyesOnHeaven: Two personal blogs belonging to the founder of OneCatholic, Adib Mady, and his wife, Ellen, who also happens to be a major partner of the OneCatholic Network. These two blogs are reflective blogs that deal with topics mainly about the Catholic faith from the perspective of a family, the Madys, who is seeking God in their life journey.

General Information

OneCatholic evangelizes through the internet, at least for the time being. It uses video clips, documentaries, TV and radio stations, photos, music, informative documents and other forms of media to spread the truths of the Catholic faith.

Mission

OneCatholic responds to the Church's call for evangelization in the mass media and for increased Christian unity by:

1. Helping Catholics know more about their faith and Church by providing resources and information about the Universal Catholic Church, the local churches and Catholic rites.

2. Helping the local churches and promoting unity within the Church by providing a venue of communication, through which the activities and needs of the different churches and rites can be communicated to Catholics all around the world. Catholics that feel called to do so can support OneCatholic or other specific Church needs by offering prayers, time, or monetary and material resources.

3. Helping people of other faiths, Christian or non-Christian, to better understand the history, nature, and current situation of the Universal Catholic Church.

OneCatholic is beginning as a network of websites. It has future plans of opening a media production house and TV station to further the same mission and goals more comprehensively.

About us

"I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me will never hunger,

and whoever believes in me will never thirst." (John 6:35)

Spread the faith. Share the TRUTH.
